To identify growth opportunities in the rapidly expanding online language learning market, I conducted in-depth interviews with 50 leading international language teaching influencers. Through these conversations, I uncovered a critical pain point: as their audiences scaled, influencers faced overwhelming demand for 1:1 tutoring, far exceeding their available bandwidth. Recognizing this gap, I proposed leveraging our AI avatar technology to empower creators with customizable digital avatars they could monetize at scale.
The feature was a success, which led to some positive growth and the discovery of new opportunities for the company. Since I left, I’m happy to report the app is rapidly growing. They have now expanded to other avatars and language learning scenarios.
